How well do YOU follow-through on your commitments to others?
When you tell someone you’re going to do something or follow-up with some action, do you tend to do it? Do you do it on a timely basis? Become a MASTER of follow-through.
AVOID making commitments that you’re not likely to keep. Write down commitments in a place where they’re likely to be reviewed and acted upon by the date you committed to. Embrace a personal mantra of under-promising and over-delivering.
Your reputation, credibility, and level of trust are fashioned based upon how well you follow-through to others. Be a ROLE MODEL for follow-through; make follow-through one of the key features of your personal brand. Be known as “that person” that follows through on promises — little ones and big ones.
What commitments have you made today, that you need to take note of and follow-through on?
Reflect back to last week, and ensure any promises and commitments you made are noted on your “to-do” list or project list.
What SYSTEM or process do you have in place to capture ALL of your promises and commitments?
All the best!
